Weston Praisin' and the Other Kiddos Preparing for an Ambush

Weston loves to sit on Granny and Poppy's stairs and hold worship services! It's great to watch him get a hymnal out, turn the lamp on and get the drum to prepare. In this picture, he's singing, "I've got peace like a river in my soul!" Wow -- I pray he'll continue with the same enthusiasm to worship our Great and Mighty God!!

About the same time, the other 3 were outside stockpiling arrows made out of fireweed stalks to ambush their Daddy when he came home from work! Don loves to watch them work together to try to surprise him when he gets out of the car. Some friends came over on Monday and had a great time exploring things with my children that taught them some neat things. Garratt was "blown away" that all of this fireweed around us can actually be put to some kind of use (to a 10 year old boy) and "A" had a great time showing him how to strip the leaves and launch them through the air. On Tuesday, even though the yard was in the same place and was much the same as it has always been, my children were exploring in a new way all of the neat things that they had been sharing with their friends the day before. How fun! It's very refreshing to have children come over and interact with mine when I know that our two families are very much on the same page when it comes to standards and principles of conduct! Thanks "B" for letting us have a wonderful afternoon with your children!
