Gingerbread/Graham cracker houses
We went to a decorating party and this is what happened! The secret was to melt chocolate to stick the graham crackers together with because it set up quickly and became quite durable. The party that we attended had just about every topping you could imagine to decorate the houses with. The children loaded up on sugar(in their bellies and on their houses which ended up in their bellies after the camera captured the masterpieces) and the mess was cleaned up by everyone so it ended up being a great activity. Shaeanne lost the privilege of going, so that is why she didn't have one. Now I understand the "it hurts me more than it hurts you" comment. It DOES hurt to have to take away a fun thing from a disrespectful child. Not only does it hurt to listen to the nastiness come out of their mouth, it hurts to realize that they will miss out on the opportunity to build some fun memories with the family because of what they have chosen by their actions. Our Heavenly Father sure is a wise Daddy to withhold some things from us when we choose to disobey. But, oh the blessings of living in fellowship and obedience!! What joy it is to walk in the truth.

Wow, that's a lot of candy! Beautiful houses.
How appropriate that our lesson on Wednesday was about using our mouths to build others up and having words that are acceptable before God. Im glad we got to talk about those things... God sure outs us where he wants us, doesnt he?
I love the houses! I love candy too :D Glad you got to do something fun and messy with plenty of help!
Thank you, Morhu, for teaching the kiddos! It is great to know that they are being taught the truth in love.:)
