The boys and I put together a frame for our "sukkah" from a plastic building set given to us by a friend. It is quite durable and the girls were helpful in getting the fabric pinned up around the frame.
A sukkah is a small shelter that we make for the Feast of Tabernacles. We remember the children of Israel and how God provided for them in the wilderness and we remember how God provides for us while we live in our "temporary home" called earth while we wait for heaven (our Promised Land). We also celebrate Jesus' coming to earth to dwell with us (mankind) as mentioned in John 1:14.
The children and I particularly like this feast because it is a week long festival! We spend a lot of time away from home visiting friends and having special times of praise and worship with fellow believers and do a lot of eating too! :)
Of course, many chores here at home take a back seat, but we know they'll be waiting for us when the week is over! It is a wonderful time of thanksgiving and we
are truly blessed to have food and shelter and clothing and many other essentials that we so easily take for granted.Happy Sukkot, Y'all!!!

Good job! It looks great. Very sturdy too. And don't worry...the chores will always be there right?
