Anchorage was a lot of fun!! We had the privilege of staying on base with Poppy and Granny in the temporary housing and enjoyed an indoor playground place. It reminded me of my childhood (I love being an Air Force Brat!) listening to the jets overhead and showing my husband and kiddos a little picture of what living on base was like for me way back in the "olden days". :) It was a 3 day vacation that we thoroughly enjoyed and again God blessed us in so many ways. The weather was gorgeous; we got coupons given to us for Chuck E. Cheeses and the waterpark (H2Oasis); we got sweet deals at the thrift store; and Wal-mart was fun too! Linnaea did end up getting the icky flu bug, but she was fairing pretty well by the time we left for our little trip on Thursday and Garratt was back to "normal". AND... no one else in the family got it after Poppy, Garratt, and Linnaea (3 out of 8 isn't bad at all!)

I'm so glad that you had this time away. It looks like your accomodations were idyllic. Sorry Dan missed you Sunday night. We will try again this week. Since it is awards (seems like this came very quickly this year) night we will have more time to connect.
