Garratt's Stitches

Garratt learned an important lesson from this experience: pocket knives and tree climbing don't mix. From what I gathered, he was climbing a tree and decided to stop to get a nice looking branch for a sword or something. He lost his footing and before he knew what really happened, he was catching himself from falling completely and realized that somehow his hand started bleeding profusely. He doesn't seem to remember exactly how it happened, but upon sorting the evidence, we realized that a cut that was that clean could have been made by only one thing - his knife. He came quite close to hitting a main nerve that helps to form a pincer grip with the thumb and index finger. We are thankful to the Lord that it was not worse! Now he has a nice sized scar to tell stories about -- typical boy stuff!
