More Bishop Creek pics

Linnaea with a little buddy -- she loves "babies"!

Garratt had fun teasing the other 12 and 13 year olds there (all girls)..... :)

We made icecream on the beach!! Here's how:

2 Tblsp sugar
1 cup half and half
1/2 tsp vanilla
(Put into a sandwich sized ziploc and seal it)

Put 1/2 cup salt (icecream salt works best) and about 3 cups of icecubes into a gallon ziploc and then put the sandwich sized ziploc into it and seal. Shake, toss, squish bag for about 5 minutes. Take out smaller ziploc, grab a spoon and enjoy!

We had water to rinse the salt off the bag and someone came up with a great idea to add rootbeer. The variations are endless. We also halved the cream recipe into 2 sandwich ziplocs and put them into the same gallon bag so that 2 people could toss the bag back and forth and then enjoy their own single serving.

The recipe came from Familyfun magazine! Yummy!!!!

What fun!! That ice cream recipe is really similar to one we use. We double-bag the ice cream mix in the ziplock bag, though; makes it harder for the salty water to get into the ice cream. (We had that happen once and it was tragic!)
