Only in Alaska!

Is this cool or what? Two of my in-laws last names on a road sign! Do you see the other name? Yep, it's Kalifornsky Beach Road -- I guess that kinda brings a funny twist to the whole California thing up here! I would definitely expect to see Kalifornsky in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or on the Red Green show, but Alaska? Hmmm...

And another rare thing -- free stuff -- like brand new bicycles!! The "Family Fun in the Midnight Sun" activity day proved to be a fun day indeed. Weston ran the fastest out of a large group of 3 and 4 year old and is sporting his first place prize (a bubble blower) and Shaeanne won second place in the 9 and 10 year old gunny sack race. The other 2 kiddos got free bikes because their ticket number was picked (oh wait, I guess each bike cost us 50 cents since that was what the ticket costs to help pay for the staffing and the tickets themselves). Another huge blessing for living in Alaska! Thank you, Lord, for your showers of blessings!
