Oh, it was really a fun time! Don has mentioned improvements that we need to make for next year's campout, so this is exciting that it may actually become an annual event! You know me and activities.....I'm so excited!
The kiddos had a blast firing fireweed arrows at one another. It was fun to sit by the campfire and hear them yelling and running through the woods. With only a few hiccups, we made it through and are looking forward to an even better campout next year!
Yep, another reminder that we who live in Alaska are walking through the bear's living room! These prints were down at the beach, but one of the Dads on the campout found fresh bear scat on the trail going down to the lake by our house. We are thankful for our barky dog who is helping us to be aware of the wildlife in our backyard!
Thank you to all of you who came here to share a little bit of summer with us and helped pack those memories in our bags to pull out when the 35 below hits long and hard.
