We had the opportunity to go on a half day wildlife/glacier cruise and thoroughly enjoyed it! The weather was too cloudy to see the glacier, but we saw plenty of wildlife. The day was really fun and one of the highlights of having Aunt Jan's visit give us a reason to actually do one of these cruises. They are very popular and since it may be the closest we ever get to going on a real cruise, I'll say it was really fun and the food was good too!
We saw quite a few seals, a few otters, mountain goats, lots of big jellyfish and lots of different birds. My favorite animal is the puffin and we saw lots of those! They are so cute, but not so easy to photograph.
There was a Junior Park Ranger Program that the children were able to enjoy on board and they each got a certificate and badge at the end of the tour.
Weston made friends with the captain of the ship and a few times, I actually had to go up and get him to leave the control room. He would wander up to it and since it was lightly raining much of the time, the rangers and the captain would let him sit on the back bench in the "off-limits" area. Of course, it's hard to resist such that sweet little Weston face!

What fun! We did a cruise out there October 07 and it was great. Except for the motion sickness.
