What a day! We had our All Praise and Worship service at church where our family recited scripture and sang, the children sang with a few different groups of children, and Don and I and the youth group gave testimony to the things that we learned while on the canoe trip. It was a great service with a church "picnic" afterwards. Since we have a lot of senior citizens in our church, we stayed indoors in case it rained, but we had typical picnic foods and lots of sweet fellowship. After dragging home at 4 p.m., it hit me that it was still Linnaea's Birthday and we still had more celebrating to do! Of course, she is one that seems to take life as it comes and not ruffle a bunch of feathers over what her expectations are, so she would have gladly postponed the festivities until Monday. We decided to postpone the homemade pizza supper until Monday, but still had cake and presents Sunday. It was a sweet time and it is always fun to bless a sweet girl with gifts that she truly is thankful for. With this I am reminded that I need to continue to be thankful even when God's plans for my day/life are different than my expectations. God has perfect timing and just like the pizza was much more enjoyable Monday night when we weren't all strewn out from the day, God's adjustments to my time are the best for me in the long run. Happy Birthday, Baby Girl!!
