Our December: Part 5

Don't you just love watching children's faces as they open gifts? It is so much fun to watch their face light up with some sort of treasure that you hope they will enjoy. We celebrated his birthday on Saturday since Sunday was full of church services and the Christmas program, but it made the early celebration more special because we could just be home together.
Weston wanted a snow shovel and boy, are we glad to get him one! He shovels snow off of the porch and sidewalk and helps Daddy a lot. Weston also got a fleece blanket too (main birthday gift for kiddos this year). It is very colorful with Thomas the Tank Engine on one side and a bright orange background with rescue vehicles on the other side. Granny made a couple of pillow cases that had vehicles on them too, so he's sleeping quite comfy now!
It was fun to find the Play-Doh Spaghetti Factory play set after Weston had decided that he wanted to eat spaghetti for his birthday supper. It was a hit and with cake still smeared on his face, he whipped up a nice bowl of spaghetti to show everyone!
Yummy!! :)

My 5 year old also enjoys the play dough. Mama, not so much. Just not a fan of messy things (I know I should be more adventurous, but you know who gets to clean it up when they're done!)
