Our December: Part 6

Here's a family picture taken at church. Weston got to stand up front during the morning service so we could all sing Happy Birthday to him. He just beamed!

Tuesday morning, Weston woke up before the other kiddos and wanted to roll out play-doh cookies. In classic homeschool mode, it was the perfect opportunity to jump in and do some real ones. So we did! By the time the other kiddos woke up, they jumped in with the cookie cutters too, but I just stepped back and watch them make them. They had a blast and got to take nibbles of dough while they rolled (I would act like I didn't see it happening). They were hilarious sneaking little pieces of dough into their mouths and then telling each other to wash their hands before they touched the dough again!
The next morning they decorated the cookies that were left (after the munchies captured a few); another messy, but fun activity watching them "have fun".

Roll out cookies are NOT my favorite. They rarely work out well for me. But it was easier this year than before, maybe the older they get the better it is?? And they did work out nicely this time. Fifth time is the charm, maybe. ;)
