About Saturday....

Linnaea lost her first tooth!! She was so very excited and (of course) Shaeanne took the credit because she pulled it out for Nay Nay. :0

Saturday night we went to a music service ("Broken Walls" was specific about saying that it was not an entertainment night, nor a "performance") with Jonathan Maracle (pronounced like miracle, but with the beginning being "mare"). He is Mohawk Indian and we really enjoy his music! He explained the history of the Native Americans worshipping the Creator of heaven and earth and about how the white people twisted many things to put that worship into a bad light because it wasn't like their Anglo-Saxon way of worship. Jonathan talked about tearing down walls and building unity in the body of believers today. He sings of Yeshua (the Way, the Truth, and the Life) and praises with the drum. At the end of the service, they asked a group of native Alaskan teenagers that were there from Alaska Christian College to come forward and the drummer with Jonathan admonished those teenagers to take the message of Hope back to their villages. Then, the group of teens sang, "Jesus Bids Us Shine" in English and Inupiut! Very powerful!!

Here at home, Weston loves to get the vaccuum attachments and beat on the floor while singing one of Jonathan's songs, "River of Life". It was fun to watch the look on Weston's face when he saw the person that matched the voice that comes out of our CD player at home! The girls hadn't met Mr. Jonathan either, and so were very thrilled to be able to get this picture with him. Garratt's favorite song of his is "Ride the Wind" and Jonathan opened the service with that song. I was crying (what's new?) and Garratt and the girls were singing at the top of their voices! Wow....what a wonderful evening. It is exciting to watch my Scandinavian/German, White kiddos singing the songs of the Ojibwa, Cherokee, Mohawk, and other native languages -- Praise be to our Amazing Creator!!!
