Weston has been singing "Happy Bertday, dear Mareca" all day -- it's great! Since fireworks are illegal here at this time of year, we enjoy party poppers! Fred Meyer had a really good sale on them, so each of the children got a bag full. Garratt's were all gone within the first few minutes, Linnaea and Shaeanne took their time with them and even saved some for after quiet time and Weston had a great time with the snap pops (the kind you throw on the ground). We had a fun day celebrating (even though we didn't brave the parade in the rain). We thank God for the privileges we are still free to enjoy (so far) and for the many men and women who have sacrificed and are sacrificing so very much to make it possible!!! Thank you, Lord, for our wonderful America!
