Vacation Bible School

We had a busy, but fun week at Vacation Bible School this past week. The kids loved it and since it was a SpyKids theme, the crafts included making a Sonforce Badge and the kids got sunglasses. The main theme was "Follow God" and I always love watching the kids learn more about their walk with the Lord! Weston was too young for a class, but he and I stayed for the opening time and sang with the kiddos at the end of each day. Many of the families that attend that particular church are homeschool families, so it was fun to be around so many other families as "crazy" as ours! :) As you can tell from the amount of blogging that has gone on this week, the days flew by and it seemed like each day zoomed past with many things on my "to do list" left undone.

This week we are working on getting the trailer moved for the new owners and getting that task off of our shoulders....that will feel good!

Dad made it up to camp and will be gone until the middle of August. On his way back, he'll stop in Anchorage and get his final tests done before surgery on August 27. Weston and I are going to try to go up to Anchorage with Mom and Dad on the 26th and be there until he is released from the hospital. The only catch is where the older 3 kiddos can go while Don works each night. Any relatives out there that want to come for a visit???? hee hee

Well, off to the trailer to check out the tongue situation and see how hard it will be to disconnect the pipes and stuff. Anyone out there that can give us some advice on unhooking procedures?? The movers don't do any of that stuff.....just moving.

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Hey Shanda!
We'll have to exchange videos of each family doing some of the songs. :) I figured out how to put digital video on the camera, maybe it'll be easy to email???

Love ya!

Oh...I like the "Train Me Up" song! We only did 3 of the songs because the VBS people didn't find out that I'd be willing to learn and teach the songs until Tuesday of VBS week. They have songs that they sing every year anyway, so the kids had fun singing songs that they already knew plus the new ones!
