Thanks, Bonnie, for the great idea! Don tried to convince the kiddos that Mommy had bought the wrong numbers completely, so I thought "54" sounded like a fun picture.
We had a nice dinner outside at our picnic table and that night got to try out the tent that you see in the background. We're going to practice nearby before we tackle venturing too far away. It worked out pretty well!
Shaeanne wrote a play for Daddy's Birthday, so was completely disheartened when we told her that we were going to celebrate it a day after the actual day. She had us all go upstairs to watch it and had props set up and everything. She even wrote a part for Linnaea and had a script written up for her. It was about a news reporter that found out that it was Don Dohse's Birthday and how she changes the newscast to include it.
On Saturday, we enjoyed hotdogs and s'mores around the campfire. Our yard is coming along pretty well, but we put a piece of carpet on the dirt when the tent was up and left it up our little picnic in the back. A fun weekend indeed!
